We first met Hope when she was found tied to a truck, in the driveway of a friend of Sunshine Foundation.
She was brought in to Sugar Mill Veterinary Center to be examined, vaccinated, spayed, and fostered back in June 2018. Her rescuer, Kelly, sponsored her care while we fed her and kept her safe at the Inn at Sugar Mill and searched for a home for Hope. She was with us for almost 4 months and everyone fell in love with her energetic personality. She still had a lot of puppy personality.
In mid-October 2018, we were so excited to report that our sweet girl found a wonderful human to love and call her own, Marty.
Sadly, Marty got sick and had to leave St. Croix and his beloved Hope behind in February 2019. He passed away in early May.
Hope has been kept safe at Sugar Mill Veterinary Center in the boarding facility since February. But, she really needs a new person or family to love and call her own
This energetic lady loves to play! She is friendly with people and other dogs (not so sure about cats) and is in good health. 💖
We are HOPEFUL once again that we will be able to find her a FUREVER home here on the island. If you are interested in meeting her please give us a call at 340-718-0002.
In the meantime, funds are needed to offset the costs of housing, feeding, walking and keeping her up-to-date on heartworm medication and vaccines.
We hope that you will consider a donation in Marty’s memory to help his girl, Hope, on the next part of her journey.
